The Last Knock at Winslow House: A Halloween Mystery
A prize-winning poem. Seven ominous warnings. A secret someone will kill to keep.
When author Eleanor Castle wins The Hollows Halloween Writing Contest with her original poem, “The Raven’s Seven Warnings,” she expects congratulations—not a black feather waiting inside her locked home.
Then the poem’s superstitions begin coming true.
Candles burn blue without explanation. A mirror reveals a long-forgotten name. Three knocks sound in the darkness when no one is at the door. Each warning draws Eleanor closer to the truth behind a century-old accusation involving a stolen brooch, a hidden ledger, and a letter that was never delivered.
Detective Daniel Merchant believes the haunting has a human hand behind it. But as the danger surrounding Eleanor grows, his feelings for her threaten the objectivity he needs to solve the case. To save her, Daniel must put aside his fear, follow the evidence, and uncover the final secret before the last warning is fulfilled.
The Last Knock at Winslow House is an atmospheric Halloween mystery filled with ravens, buried secrets, dangerous obsession, historical intrigue, and a love given one last chance.
